So this year, Toronto Pride is celebrating it’s 30th year.
Pride for me is a celebration of diversity, a celebration of life and a celebration of the amazing people in my life who support who I am and what I do. Though Pride Day comes once a year, being proud isn’t limited to marching in a parade and dancing on the streets, it’s a feeling that last 365 days of the year. As a tribute and a testament to the community, I thought I would gather stories from the community surrounding Pride. So in June 2010, I posted 30 of these stories and portraits over at photojunkie.ca, with the complete set displayed here.
Pride Day 2010 is here, but I’m continuing this project until I’ve reached the 140 goal. So let me know if you want to participate in this series, tell me What’s your favourite Pride story?
